The challenges that the Persians had against the Greeks is they heavily outnumbered the Greeks and they didn't have any cavalry or archers. Victory. The Greeks pushed and closed in on the Persian army from Marathon to Athens. In the image Greeks and Persians are fighting.

    The Battle Of Thermopylae
    The battle of Thermopylae happened in Thermopylae. The challenges that the Persians had against the Greeks was they had 180,000 soldiers with 1200 ships. The Greeks only had 7000 soldiers and 300 Spartans. Defeat. After three days of fighting the Greeks, they went south and things went wrong in the mainland. All soldiers were killed. The Persians took the fight in and near the water, and the Greeks lost because they were outnumbered.

    The battle of Salamis happened off the coast of a large island in Athens. The Persians outnumbered the Greeks, Spartans, and the Peloponnesians combined. In the image the Greeks fought in the water this time they were outnumbered but still won because pushed the Persians into the water and defeat to the Persians.
