The Battle Of ThermopylaeThe battle of Thermopylae happened in Thermopylae. The challenges that the Persians had against the Greeks was they had 180,000 soldiers with 1200 ships. The Greeks only had 7000 soldiers and 300 Spartans. Defeat. After three days of fighting the Greeks, they went south and things went wrong in the mainland. All soldiers were killed. The Persians took the fight in and near the water, and the Greeks lost because they were outnumbered.
The Battle Of SalamisThe battle of Salamis happened off the coast of a large island in Athens. The Persians outnumbered the Greeks, Spartans, and the Peloponnesians combined.
