The Peace and Freedom Party, born from the civil rights and anti-war movements of the 1960s, is committed to socialism, democracy, ecology, feminism, racial equality, and internationalism. They focus on bringing equality to the United States and giving every citizen equal freedoms. -

The voter registration drive allowed the Peace and Freedom party to join the California ballot on both a state and national level. This was a huge moment for all the supporters of the party. -

The Peace and Freedom party failed to get more than 2% of votes in the general election and then lost their ballot status in California. This party supports the struggle to eliminate oppression and discrimination based on sex or sexual orientation. Which at the time, was difficult for people to understand and their was no education on, which pushed away voters. -

More than 40,000 registrations for the Peace and Freedom party over a three year period and were also successful in getting back in the California ballots. -
