    All of the Indian's land west of the Missouri River was given to the government, except for a small piece which was being used as their reserve.

    Cheyennes attacked William Gay, he fired a shot to alert his team, who started firing shots . The Cheyennes rode right into the circle of wagons, but the other people managed to drive them out. After a few minutes, the Cheyennes disappeared.
