    Spinning Machine invented
    This machine was a step up from the spinning wheel making it possible to weave more than one thread at a time. James Hangreaves the inventor was born in the year of 1720 and died in 1778. In 1764 he invented this device but in 1769 Hangreaves completed the first spinning machine for commercial use. (Hertitage- history.com.)

    He was born at Ajaccio, Corsica in the Mediterranean Sea. He was the fourth child and second son of Carlo Maria de Bonaparte (As it was later chsnged to) and Letizia Ramolino.     A group of drunk colonists were bullying some british troops. After the colonists started throwing rocks at the British they called in for reenforcements. One colonist was hit in the head by the back of a musket and the crowd got angrier. So the british troops shot into the crowd to stop this massacre. The troops killed five colonists.     A group of Massachusetts Patriots dressed up as Mohawk indians. They went abord an East India tea company ship . They dumped over one million dollars worth of tea into Boston Harbor in one night. ( www.History.com)

    A five man committee including Thomas Jefferson, John Adams and Ben Franklin. These men adopted the Declaration of indepence and is the birth place of American independence.     In 1802 Napoleon was voted the title Conul for life. But because Napoleon wanted more power so he took away powers of the government that he did not control. This was to strenghen his authority.     In 1805, Austria, Russia and Sweeden along with the British all joined forces against France and Spain. Napoleo had to abandon the plan to invade Britain to attend to this matter. As he defeated the armies Napoleon made Austria sign a peace treaty. Russia had stopped fighting. But Lord Nelson along with his British army defeated Napoleons fleets in Trafalgar.     Napoleon defeated the Prussians at Jena and Auerstadt
    In 1806 Napoleon had set up a confederation with the Rhine, made up of western German states under his protection. This was the action that brought war to the French by the Prussians. On October 14, his armies overwhelmed the Prussians. Napoleon made a conqueror's entry into Berlin. Here he issued the Berlin degree which barred British goods from Europe.     Napoleon occupies Moscow
    Napoleon had signed an alliance with Czar Alexander I of Russia in 1807. But the Russiand did not fully carry out the Berlin Degree with the British ports. In 1812 Napoleon decided to teach them a lesson. Over the years the French were weakened but Napoleon managed to pull out an army of 600,000 men. Napoleons empire was very large (from Spain to the tip of Russia.) He marched onward and the Russians fled burning everything they had that was worth of value. (The World Book N-O Volume 14)
  • Napoleon abdicates his throne

    Napoleon abdicates his throne
    One by one Napoleons friends and allies deserted him. By April, 1814 he decided that his cause was hopeless. The French senate called for a return of a Bourbon King to the French throne. His commanders told him to step down. On April 11, Napoleon abdicated at Fontainebleau. Then Louis XVIII crowned him king of the small island of Elba off the Coast of Italy.   • Napoleon loses at the battle of Waterloo

    Napoleon loses at the battle of Waterloo
    Napoleon defeats Blucher at Ligny on June 16. Ney forced Wellington back to the Belgian village of Waterloo. On June 18, Napoleon attacked Wellington. Wellington had to depend on nightfall or Bluchers reinforcements. The reinforcement troops came in and with renewe strengh the British and their allies overwelmed the French ending the Battle of Waterloo. (The World Book N-O Volume 14)
  • Napoleon dies at Longwood in Saint Helena

    Napoleon dies at Longwood in Saint Helena
    On October 16, 1815, Napoleon is exiled to Saint Helena. Later on May 5 1821, he dies at Longwood in Saint Helena. Upon death Napoleon leaves his great Legacy and inspires many even to this day.
