I was born in Charlotte, NC. My parents are Micheal Chad Tarlton and Kelly Carnes Tarlton. -
Met Family
I was the second child born into my family. I have an older sister. My family has 4 people my Mom, Dad, My Sister, and Me. I have lived in the same house with my family my whole life. -
Annual Beach Trip
Every summer since I have been a baby we have gone to the beach with our family friends. It is a tradition I look forward too because our families are very close, and they live in Maryland so we don't get to see them a lot. -
Went to Kindergarten
This is when I went to kindergarten. I went to Weddington Hills Elementary School. I went there for 6 years. -
Went Skiing For the First Time
I was 5 when I first went skiing. I learned how to ski from my dad and have been skiing ever since. -
Started SMACK camp
This was a summer camp I went to for 8 years. It helped me build friendships and good life values. It has made many great memories for me! -
Started Reading More
I started reading regularly in 4th grade. This started my love for reading. -
Went On a Cruise
I went on a cruise the year before sixth grade and it lead me to want to travel more! -
Started Middle School
I went to Winkler Middle School for all three years of Middle School. That is where I made a lot of my friends that I still talk to today. -
Went to see Taylor Swift
I saw Taylor Swift at the reputation tour in 2018. This is a big deal because I love Taylor swift and I didn't get tickets for her new tour which is very sad. -
COVID
Covid hit during my 8th grade year. It changed how I interacted with my friends and school was canceled for a while. I think it is something I will remember for years to come. -
Started High school (virtually)
I started my freshman year completely virtually. This was an experience of schooling that I was not yet used too. It definitely changed my high school experience! -
Moved My sister into college
Me and my sister have always had a very close relationship and moving her into college was a bittersweet experience. I am glad she gets to move into new parts of her life but I do miss having her around more. -
Started Sophomore year
This was my first year of highschool where I would not be virtual. I was a little nervous but it turned out to be a great year! -
Carolina Beach Spring Break
This past spring break my family took a trip to Carolina beach. It was a very fun holiday and allowed me to spend time with my relatives. It reminded me of how thankful I am for all my relatives! -
Got my License
I got my driving license 2 days after I turned 16. I was nervous to drive on my own at first, but now I do it all the time! -
Started being a camp counselor
As mentioned earlier in my timeline, I went to a summer camp for a good part of my childhood. This past summer I started volunteering as a camp counselor there! I loved working with the kids and taking on a responsible role. -
Went To Florida
I have been to Florida many times in my life, because my mom grew up there. This summer we went and visited places she grew up in, but we also went to new small towns with great architecture that helped spark my interest in interior design and architecture! -
Started Junior Year
This is my second year being non-virtual in high school. I feel like this year has been very crucial in my high school education, but also to set me up for later parts of my life. -
Now!
I am currently still in my junior year of high school and I am enjoying it! I have made so many friendships and developed new hobbies throughout recent years. I am also focusing on colleges and what I want my future to look like. I am excited for what is to come next :)
