    Birth
I was born March 8th 1992 in Tegucigualpa Honduras.

    The First Two Years (Biosocial)
I was a pretty average sized baby 6lbs and 5 oz, I loved playing with my rattle.

Mom says I was quite a handful because I tended to be very curious and interested in my surroundings. She often found me to getting into mischief during dinner time and especially with the animals in the house.

She also said that as a baby I was very close to both her and my dad, but said that it seemed at times as though I favored my dad.
  • The Play Years (Psychosocial)

    The Play Years (Psychosocial)
After my sister was born my mom said that I almost immediately took the role of protective older brother. I also started to make friends with many of the other kids around our neighborhood.

    The Play Years (Biosocial)
I became increasingly more active during my play years. My dad says I loved to play and build with blocks and legos as well as climb on anything and everything.

    The Play Years (Cognitive)
My dad said that my ability to semi communicate my needs, desires , likes and dislikes. greatly increased, and that this caused me to be a very vocal kid at times.
  • The School Years (Biosocial)

    The School Years (Biosocial)
I started playing soccer and baseball partially because I really liked sports and wanted to play and partially because my parents thought that it would be a good output for my abundant supply of energy. My parents also started me in music lessons as a form of creative output.
  • The School Years (Cognitive)

    The School Years (Cognitive)
At the beginning part of my school career I had a hard time staying out of trouble mainly because I was more of a “color outside the lines kid” and didn’t really like following the teachers instructions for activities, but at the same time I enjoyed learning new things especially when it came to reading or science…math not so much.
  • The School Years (Pscyhosocial)

    The School Years (Pscyhosocial)
Even though I was a very social kid making more and more friends in school and sports, I tended to only interact more with my neighborhood friends.
  • Adolescence (Biosocial)

    Adolescence (Biosocial)
For me puberty hit in two big spurts, the first occurring during middle school and the second during my freshmen and sophomore year of high school. I was still extremely active with sports and although I had stopped playing soccer and baseball and instead began wrestling and running track in high school. I did start to experiment with drugs and alcohol in the later years of high school mainly because it was just something to do to make a boring town seem a little less boring.
  • Adolescence (Cognitive)

    Adolescence (Cognitive)
As with most adolescents I definitely went through an egocentric period, I wondered how my peers perceived me and typically would think and act on things with my best interest at mind. I also got into many arguments with my parents about everything from school to friends to even world issues.
  • Adolescence (Psychosocial)

    Adolescence (Psychosocial)
Throughout the course of middle school and high school the relationships shared between my core group of friends and I began to solidify. I also began to interact more with girls inside and outside of school. However as I entered my teenage years the good relationship I had with my parents started to decrease and I found myself spending less time with them.

    Adolescence (Cognitive) continued...
Later in my high school years I cared a lot less about what the general student body thought of me aside from my close group of friends. I would have to say that at this point of time I reached my peak level of immaturity. Furthermore I didn’t really put as much effort as I could have into my school work; I was much more interested in having fun.
  • Emerging Adulthood (Biosocial)

    Emerging Adulthood (Biosocial)
Since graduating high school and completing a year of college I’ve become less involved with the sports I once played. I still keep myself physically active by running and visiting the gym every week.

    Emerging Adulthood (Cognitive)
During my first year of college I went from being a passive and immature thinker to a more active and rational one. I would have to attribute the change to my getting an MIP at state Halloween weekend, as well as my dad being laid off for a second time. I’ve become more focused on my academics and now have a better sense of direction for the path towards my future career plans
  • Emerging Adulthood (Psychosocial)

    Emerging Adulthood (Psychosocial)
I can now say that I have started to find my identity. I’m currently employed and have become more fiscally responsible. The relationships with my friends from high school have stayed the same even with the spatial obstacles of going to different colleges. In addition I’ve made more solid friendships at college and have started to have a better relationship with my parents again.

    Emerging Adulthood (Cognitive) continued...
For me religion was something I honestly never really thought about or really wanted to. This was mainly resulting from growing up with a Catholic mother and Presbyterian father who argued over which faith was right for their two children. Over the course of my life so far I’ve met people of various faiths and backgrounds, and have learned to tolerate and respect their beliefs without trying to encroach. I feel that if you live a good moral life here, then you're probably on the right track.
  • Adulthood (Biosocial)

    Adulthood (Biosocial)
I will try to keep myself active and be mindful of many of the issues that come with aging. I will understand that I need to pay more attention to my body.

    Adulthood (Cognitive)
I will hopefully have grown intellectually by this time and now will be applying my knowledge to my current career.
  • Adulthood (Psychosocial)

    Adulthood (Psychosocial)
I will look forward to being married and starting a family. I also hope that my career will be enjoyable as well as financially sound enough so that I am able to support my family.
  • Late Adulthood (Biosocial)

    Late Adulthood (Biosocial)
I will try to keep myself physically active and in good health even if I may not be running the same 3-6 miles at my old pace.
  • Late Adulthood (Psychosocial)

    Late Adulthood (Psychosocial)
I anticipate that I will be retired with either grandchildren or at least some on the way. I hope to have maintained many of the relationships that I made throughout the course of my life and will value all that I have accomplished.
  • Late Adulthood (Cognitive)

    Late Adulthood (Cognitive)
I know that I’m not getting any younger and that with age can come mental fatigue. I will assist in keeping my mental sharpness up by playing music and memory games. I will use much of my remaining years to reflect on my life
  • Death and Dying

    Death and Dying
When I do pass away from this world and on to whatever comes next, I will have comfort in knowing that I led an honest, moral, and rewarding life. And in the event that there is nothing waiting for me on the other side, I will depart from this magnificent place knowing that in some way the impact I had on the lives of the people I cared about was significant.
