  • Taking the train to California

    At the age of five my mother and I embarked on a train from Arkansas to California. I stared out the windows of the dinnercar for hours, watching the countryside pass by.The bizare train was fasinating and entrancing to me, a naive child. The journey sparked my affinity for travel in all forms at a young age.
  • Cruise to Alaska

    My grandmother bought tickets on a month long cruise to Alaska for my aunts, uncles, mother, and myself. We watched Humpback Whales surface for air, explored the ship's two story deck , attended a final night banquet. This once in a life time experience strengthened my love of travel and new places. It also aroused my love of trying new food. The banquet was catered with fresh caught lobster, Halibut, flaming figgy pudding, caviar, and countless other delectiable foods.
  • Visiting Grandpa

    my family and i gathered for a week to support my grandfather in his home in Buffalo,New York after his Heart Surgery. Supporting my family and helping my grandfather recover helped me to mature into a more patient and defined person.
  • My mother marries Sean

    My mother and my step-father, Sean, were married. My Mother and my family doubled from two to four when we welcomed Sean and my step-sister, Brenna into our family.
  • Adventure Treks

    I enrolled in Adventure Treks. A summer camp that consists of twenty-four students and six counslers traveling away from civilization for 3 weeks and enjoying the natural scenery of the United States.I traveled from Arkansas to Oregon and meet 29 strangers. I became intimate friends with all of them in a short amount of time.This experience was paramount in the begining of my love of the outdoors. I loved backpacking Mt. St. Helens and rafting the Salmon and Winnache Rivers
  • Traveling to California

    I traveled on my own in the airport unescorted from Arkansas to California. I became more autonamous and confident in myself.I located my gate and boarded the plane without the asistance of my parents or the airport employees like i have in the years before.
  • First year of track

    In seventh grade I tried out for the track team. Although i was not able to complete the season due to breaking my arm in a skateboarding accident, Being on the team iniciated the begining of my fondness of running. Running has become a regular part of my life by erradicating stress and providing a healthy practice
  • Abroad in Europe

    I traveled to Europe with my seminar teacher and a group of peers. We toured multiple mueseums and historical sites over the course of nine days. I loved every minute of being abroad immersed in the culture of other countries. This experience was an amazing ppurtunity for me to experience satisfy my urge to see new things and places. I loved the escargot!
  • Adventure Treks 2

    I, along with several of my previous camp friends, attended Adventure Treks for a second year this summer. We traveled across the border into British Columbia. In the Manning and Wells Gray National Park. I strengthened my love for being outdoors, engaged in the environment with amazing people. I also strengthened my friendships with the people from last year and made several new ones.
