My older sister, Natasha, was born in Grand River Hospital. -
I was Born
I was born in Grand River Hospital early in the morning to Sonia and Musharaf Mughal. Since I was young, I have celebrated my birthday at cottages or at the beach. My favourite destination to celebrate has always been a cottage my family and I visit on Manitoulin Island. -
Younger Sister was Born
My younger sister, Aisha, was born in Grand River Hospital. -
Attended Preschool
Before attending kindergarten, my parents enrolled me in preschool in order to better surround me with a school-like environment. -
Youngest Sister was Born
My youngest sister, Saira, was born in Grand River Hospital. -
Began Kindergarten
I attended Driftwood Park P.S. for my first year of eductaion. I attended Driftwood Park until sixth grade, when I graduated. -
Europe Trip
The March of 2005 was eventful for my family, as we jetted off to England for a three-week-long vacation. We went accompanied by our whole family; grandparents, cousins, and all. We visited Stonehenge, Big Ben, the London Eye, and everything in between. We made a short trip to Paris, France as well, travelling through the underground Chunnel. There, we visited the Louvre, Notre Dame, the Eiffel Tower, and enjoyed the wonderful French culture. This trip is what made me love and desire travel. -
Brother was Born
My younger brother, Umer, was born in Grand River Hospital. -
Began Enrichment
In fifth grade, I was invited into a sort of enrichment trial at Suddaby Public School. I attended the program once a week for three weeks, and was allowed the opportunity to work with people with a similar way of thinking. -
Disney World
I took my first trip to Disney World in the winter of 2011. Initially, my three younger siblings were only supposed to attend with my parents for an extension to one of my father's business trips, but my grandparents took my older sister and I, as well. It truly was a magical experience! -
Began Middle School
In 2001, I made my assent from elementary to middle school, attending Westheights P.S. Grade 7 and 8 were spent at Westheights, and were years of growth and experience. -
Started Year-Round Enrichment
After the three-week program a year prior, I had been invited to attend enrichment at Suddaby P.S. once a week for the entire school year. This was an interesting experience for me, as it entailed being in a classroom with like-minded people once a week for a whole year. -
Last Year of Enrichment
In seventh grade, I attended another year-long enrichment program once a week at a different school (A.R. Kaufman), and was less interested in the program. This ended up being my last year attending enrichment. -
2013 Vacation
In the spring of 2013, my parents, older sister, older cousin and I went on an 18-day vacation to Las Vegas and California. Throughout the trip, we stayed at some very nice hotels, and ate at some even better restaurants. We also visited the Grand Canyon in Arizona, and Disneyland in Anaheim, California. -
Graduation
2013 was the year I graduated from grade 8 to grade 9. Graduation was full of emotional goodbyes and hope and anxiousness for grade 9. I received honours for English that year. -
Started Grade 9
This began my high school experience.
