    After spending 9 years from kindergarten through eighth grade at the same school, 53 of my classmates and I graduated and would join a high school campus of over 2,000 students the following year.

    I was salutatorian (should have taken one more Advanced Placement class!) of my class of 465 students.

    I spent a year and a half as a chemical engineering major, switched to chemistry and then eventually earned my Bachelor of Science in Physical Sciences with a minor in education.

    I was hired to begin teaching high school math and chemistry within a month of graduating from Cal. I spent a two summers and a year of classes at night to complete my credential program.

    Our school is transitioning to a 1:1 environment with Chromebooks next year (2015-2016). I will be a part of a cohort of early adopters to pilot aspects of the program this school year and I wanted to take some classes to see how to best integrate technology into my classroom.
