Benito Mussolini Born
Benito Mussolini was born on July 29, 1883 in Dovia di Predappio, a small town in the province of Forlì in Romagna, Italy called Predappio. He was the eldest of three sons of a socialist blacksmith named Alessandro Mussolini, and Rosa Maltoni, a teacher.Named Benito by the reformist Mexican president Benito Juárez, while his middle names Andrea and Amilcare were in recognition of the Italian socialists Andrea Costa and Amilcare Cipriani.In the photot you can see his birthplace -
Mussolini joined the socialist party
Due to the influence of his father, Mussolini turned to militant socialism and on September 26, 1900, he joined the Italian Socialist Party. In the meantime, he finished his studies and obtained the Maturità (high school diploma). -
Mussolini becames director of Avanti
After being arrested and imprisoned for his opposition to the war between Italy and Libya (1911-1912). Some time later he was director of the official newspaper of the Socialist Party, Avanti. Avanti (Forward) is the newspaper of the Italian Socialist Party (PSI). -
March on Rome
The march on Rome was a march to Rome organized by Benito Mussolini, then leader of the National Fascist Party. Started by an order from Mussolini, the black shirts went to the Italian capital threatening to provoke a civil war. King Victor Emmanuel III refused to sign the order. So the army was no longer going to stop Mussolini and the black shirts. Mussolini installed his government in Rome. But the fascist dictatorship did not start immediately. -

Mussolini was captured and then put in front of a firing squad. After he was killed and his body was hung upside down in Milan.This was the ending of fascism and happened the last days of World War II.Supposedly he was shot by Walter Audisio, a communist partisan.
