Family
I was born and two days after I was born, my dad went hunting. He later came back after hunnting all day to pick my mom and I up from the hospital. This shaped me because now I love to go hunting and go every chance I get to. This has taught me to love the outdoors and to never polute beause we need to keep our wildlife up and going. Our wild life has an important impact on our ecosystem. -

Peers
I met my first friend and he was the first child that I actually interacted with. Until I moved I hung out with him all the time and we were best friends. This taught me trust because I could always trust in him and when ever I needed to talk I could just go see him. -
School
My mom read me the same book every night called Where the Wild Things Are. I loved to read this book and I started to say my first words to my mom after she read and I listened. This is when my speach first started to develop and I also learned to listen and observe which is an important trait for us to know and learn how to be. -
Mass media
I got introduced to Rocket Power a T.V. show and I named my dog after the show. I always think of them when I play with my dog. They also taught me to want to be active and even those days when it's rainy you can make something out of it. These kids were in really good shape and always doing things that I wanted to imitate. I think this is part of why I am in good shape. -
Family
My mom started to stay home because my sister was born and so she only worked part time. This is when I started to walk and play more by watching my mom. My mom would always play games with me and she is part of the reason why she is one of those people I can always go to. I think without her I don't know how I would be the person I am today. -
School
I started to find books and try to tell what was written in the book by the pictures. This helped me interpret things and to be observant of things that are not so obvious. This has also made it so my eyes could develop by seeing pictures and being able to focus on things just like what we do in school. -
Mass Media
I remember that when I could hear my parents getting ready and I would go sneak into their bed and change the channnel to Power Rangers. This made me think that nothing could stand in my way if I was like them. This was teaching me how I could always get into there bed and the shows always gave a moral. I remember one show where there was a hurricane and it destroyed their shack. After this, I was always helping just like these kids when their dad was rebuilding. -
Peers
My best friend and I started to hang out more and we still do. We still hang out even though I moved. Moving for me was very hard because a lot of kids have had their friends since they where little, but me coming in made it for me to adapt. I now know how to make friends and this taught me how to start conversations with people who may not be exactly the kind of people who I like to hang out with. -
Mass Media
I remember waking up every morning and the first thing I would do was turn on my T.V.. and sit in my room until my parents came in to tell me to eat. I started to get into investigation shows and now I am thinking about going into being a criminal investigator. This also showed me I like to explore. My dad and I then went on a trip to Canada in the wilderness. -
School
This is when i started to learn about the things like when the teacher is talking i dont. I can remember havin a day where my teacher made me sit in the corner because i was talking and i never talked again during class. This also taught me to respect my elders like to listen to them. Also they can tell you alot of things that you may not have ever thought of. -
Peers
This is when I started to interact with more kids than just the ones at my daycare. These kids made it so I could see how other spoke which helped me improve my speaking. Communication is a huge part in your life and having opportunities like this make it so we can have it so people will want you to help get jobs. -
Family
I remember when my dad gave me my first singlet. This impacted me because now I am a good wrestler and it has taught me I have to work hard all of the time and I also have to make sacrafices to be good. This is one of the times when I won a tournament in Marion, Iowa. This shows me that if I work hard it will pay off. -
School
I started to take advanced classes that I could not have taken if I were at my old school. I am now in Advanced Mathamatics and taking a class that I get college credit for. Doing things to strech your mind will make it so I can get ahead of others and so I can think harder and learn new ways to solve problems. This also shows me organization to get all my homework done with. -
Family
My family and I moved to Cedar Rapids and I started to get into more clubs. This encouraged me to try new things. I used to wish before I moved that I could place at AAU state. Last year I was in the finals just because of the competition I got in the wrestling room. -
Peer
My friends and i started to hang out more outside of school and go to movies. this has taught me who my real friends are and who i can count on.This shows me some of the new technology and new ways of doing things. -
Mass Media
I started to watch more movies and watch more T.V. This has taught me about new advances in technology like 3D glasses and new phones. I now have a touch screen phone and go to movies when ever I can which is not very often.
