    After the fall of the soviet union, European countries that were identified as soviet republics, gained independence and rejoined the rest of the countries in Europe. These events broke the chain of imperialism.
  • developments of nation states

    Moldava and countries like Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia become focused on the concept on "nation-states". This helped keep the cultures of the states intact. These countries fought back against sovereignty, and the elite power of the soviets so that they could do what was best for their country.
  • Slovakia and its population

    Slovakia became a place for many different cultures as a fall out of the cold war, and it allowed the country to become a multinational state. 94% of the population identify themselves as check, but there are also cultures of Slovenian, Polish, German, Hungarian, and Roma.
  • Poland after communist control

    Following the fall of the soviet union, Poland faced new governments and was met with a high unemployment rate. But by 2008, unemployment rates have dropped drastically. This is from the self-determination Poland has to create their own democracy.
