Mars has been explored by spacecrafts and probes to try and understand the geology of the martian land. the Marineer series were from 1962 to 1973 they were built by NASA and there were 10 spacecrafts that were sent to explor the inner solar system. They sent back hundreds of pictures, analyzed Martian atmosphere and surface. -
