    Significant changes that will occur at our school by 2020
  • 1:1 Devices Digital Citizenship

    Every student will have their own Chrome Book checked out to them that they will use at school and home to extend their learning opportunities.
  • Re-Designed Classroom Spaces

    Classrooms furniture will change in most classrooms from individual desks in row to collaborative work stations that can easily be rearranged to support the type of work that students will be doing for various lessons.
  • Virtual Classrooms

    Beginning with summer school classs offerings, students will be able to take classes being offered by teachers at different school sites via Haiku, Skype, and GAFE apps.
  • Flipped, Blended, Hour of Genius Instructional Strategies

    Individual teachers are incorporating these strategies into their classes now and will continue to do so on an individual basis. By 2018, entire courses will be designed with these student centered, alternative structured designs to increase the discovery that students experience in all content areas.
  • Project Based Learning Cohorts

    Students at MMS will work in learning cohorts, or academies, to solve a real world problem that impacts their local or global community. Teacher advisors will support the student in their process and allow students to meet their content learning objectives through the lens of their project.and assess their learning through the synthesis and application of concepts in their attempt to solve their selected problem.
