It was one of the best sidescrollers ever! Out of all the colorful, playful games like Mario bros. Metroid was just so dark and creepy. If that wasn’t enough it had one of the most shocking endings ever, and surprisingly everybody was shocked! Samus is a girl, that’s it.

All of its sequels go up to XIV, that’s fourteen sequels, and has gotten its own movie. That’s a lot of sequels for one game.

This game has so many sequels! That it’s probably going to take 10 minutes just to find them all, month’s maybe years for an experienced gamer to complete them all. It’s also got one of the best video game theme songs ever.

This was probably the best fighting game back then and basically created an ESRB rating system. That was M and that’s all I have to say.

The only thing I can say is that it has 6 generations of sequels and another one coming. It also made a manga, anime, movies, trading card game and music. I think that it deserves this list.

Despite you finally being a bad guy in the entire story mode, the reason why it’s here is because of the free roam feature, where you could do whatever you wanted switching games from only story mode to anything you want mode.
