  • Using Photoshop

Photoshop practice to learn how to make our music magazine.
We were taught everything we needed to know to make our magazines. We learned how to do the basics such as crop, type and slightly edit photos. We were then taught the more compex things about layering hundreds of layers in order and how to layout as magazine on photoshop.
  • Using Cameras

Learning how to focus, zoom and frame the picture for our future magazines.
We were tought exactly how to work a canon camera and were introduced to all the basic ideas behind lighting, angling, framing and a whole lot more. By learning this, we were given the skills we needed to put on an actual photoshoot further along in the process.
  • Practice Photoshoots

The weere designed to help us understand the who process of making up a photoshoot. We were able to experience life as a photographer, stylist, make up artist and model. This helped us understand certain things that help make a photoshoot better and help to show us how we should be expressing our envisioned image on the others in our team. As well as helping us to see what looks good and bad on camera and what specific little things we can do to improve the look of our magazine.
  • Photoshoot time

Taking photos for our music magazines.
We then had the opportunity to take photos for our magazines using our own models, costume, makeup and ideas. This meant we had the time to really get down to what we needed to do for our magazines and get our own vision accross without much interference.
  • Making our Magazine

Using our photos and photoshop skills, we were able to make high quality music magazines.
We now had to make our covers and contents pages using all the photoshop skills we had learned. We had to enhance photos, make crazy and unique edits, adapt colours and even remake photos.
  • Used Indesign

To make our double page spread, we learned how to use indesign.
Using indesign wasnt that hard. Learning it was even easier. We were given a few lessons just to get to grips with the program, but were then able to go off, write up our interviews and create double page spreads that fit with our magazines.
