Chapter 1 | Introduction of Jack Sullivan
A zombie apocalypse that takes over the world, with all kinds of beasts. Yet our main character from a small town is living his best life, fighting monsters and chilling in his treehouse. -
Chapter 2 | Jack’s High-in-the-sky impenetrable tree fortress of power!!!
Jack shows us the huge tree house he lives in after the apocalypse took over his house. We see all the great ways he added shields and made the fortress stronger.
Other things the chapter mentioned; His life as an orphan and how he hated it and is happier to be without his “family”, and the love of his life, June, and his fantasies of rescuing her. -
Chapter 3 | How it happened
This chapter tells us how the present came to be what it is now, the apocalypse. We learned about Jack’s best friend, who he is trying to get into contact with and his bully who still might be surviving this craziness! -
Chapter 4 | Finding Quint!
After looking through his map, Jack finally worked up the courage to look for his best friend Quint, in the journey, he got attacked by zombies and Quint himself saved Jack! The two were reunited. -
Chapter 5 | Apocalypse Roommates
Jack and Quint fought their way back to Jack’s treehouse. The two started talking and catching up, it was the first time either of them talked to someone since the apocalypse. Realizing how grateful they are for each other, they decide to live together in the treehouse. Together they reinforced the base and got more supplies. Quint also shows Jack, his mom’s old car that he modified for a quick get-a-way. “Better together”. -
Chapter 6 | Blargggghhh!
In this chapter the two boys make friends with a giant furry monster, the family is growing! Other than that, this chapter had a few funny moments Jack and Quint went through now that they're living together -
Chapter 7 |Looking for June
First, who is June? Reminder from the last chapters, June is the girl Jack is in love with and is set On finding in the apocalypse. He believes she's alive so he and Quint, strike out to find her, on the journey they run into Jack’s old bully, Dirk Savage. It being the apocalypse, all, they decide to team up. -
Chapter 8 | Quints Birthday present
Jack’s starting to think June may not be out there for him to rescue. To distract himself, he and dirk go shopping for a birthday present for Quint. They go to Home Depot, and find the perfect gift! But just as they were leaving they got chased by a moment, don’t worry they made it home safe, with a ping pong table for Quint’s 14th Birthday. -
Chapter 9 | Quint’s workshop
We get to check out Quint’s workshop and all the cool things he made to survive the apocalypse. After that, Dirk and Jack start updating the treehouse and build it to be VERY strong. In this chapter the three boys take it easy and relax, knowing they got each other’s backs. Who knew Jack and Quint would be friends with their bully, huh? Well, that’s the apocalypse for ya! -
Chapter 10 | New Ride
In this very short chapter, Jack gets a new ride. All three of the boys have been using Quint’s mom’s old vehicle as their apocalypse car, but after becoming BFFs with a monster dog, and spending seven minutes of YouTube watching “how to make a saddle” the boys scored themselves another getaway “vehicle”. -
Chapter 11 | She’s out there somewhere!
It took a while, but Jack convinced Quint and Dirk to help him rescue June. They weren’t sure if she had survived the apocalypse, but Jack knew in his heart that she was out there, and he believed she was hiding out at the school. The school’s outsides had been completely taken over by zombies but no monsters, after tons of running and fighting they got inside the building, and there, they found June! -
Chapter 12 | The apocalypse is better with buddies
June was holding onto the illusion that her parents would come to rescue her, she left signs for them to find her at the school, and the whole time she had been locking up the building, so no monsters could get in. She tries to get the boys to leave, but after spending time with them, especially Jack, she realizes that the apocalypse is better with buddies, but she still told them they needed to leave first thing in the morning. So the boys and June had a sleepover at the school. -
Chapter 13 | I am no damsel in distress.
Jack and Jun couldn't sleep, so they talked. June told Jack how she saw her parents get zombified, and she talked about how she felt useless. Jack said “those clues you made were not useless, they helped me find you, and it was the thought of finding you, that kept me alive this whole time”. They hug, and she said yes to moving in with the boys, just before they go to bed June grabs Jack and says ‘I am survivor, so let go of your fantasy because I am no damsel in distress.”. -
Chapter 14 | A team
Just as June and Jack were about to go to bed, the sun started rising, and Quint noticed a monster he and Jack messed with a long time ago looking for them. The kids realized that the monster was on their trail, they geared up and in the Journey of that, they start to feel like a team!
