  • 1968: The International Baccalaureate is founded in Geneva

  • 1994: The Middle Years Programme is launched

    The Middle Years Programme is launched: The MYP is a challenging framework that encourages students aged 11 - 16 to make practical connections between their studies and the real world. Using global contexts, MYP students develop a deep understanding of their common humanity and shared guardianship of the planet.
  • 2015: MYP eAssessment

    The IB launches first-of-its-kind eAssessment for MYP students: We make assessment work for students by aligning it to their needs and developing improved communication based on feedback.
    MYP eAssessment is a reliable, globally consistent and highly innovative assessment model that helps achieve greater student outcomes and provides greater quality assurance and recognition for IB World Schools.
  • 2022: Additions to the levels of achievement in the criteria in the system of assessing student achievement in IB program

    Methodological recommendation / guidance for defining the boundaries of student achievement when assessing criteria.
    For example in the criteria the achievement levels are between 2-3, 4-5 and 6-7.
  • 2030: Annual offline conferences for teachers from all over the world.

    Selection through a single special competition for teachers in order to develop and motivate the most sought-after and intelligent teachers to share experiences. The best teachers are both constant development and a new direction in education.
  • 2040: Educational grants for the future

    The best students will receive a grant for free education in schools and colleges.
