Remarks Upon Signing the Minimum Wage Bill
JFK said “My great satisfaction in signing the bill to increase the minimum wage to a dollar twenty-five cents an hour, and to extend the coverage to three million, six hundred thousand people today who are not covered by this most important piece of national legislation.” He wanted to make our economy greater. -

JFK asked for an additional $7 billion to $9 billion over the next five years for the space program. We then soon became the first people to put the first ever man on the moon. -

The U.S and the Soviets were at standoff for a 13 day period. Cuba had soviet missiles, that is 90 miles away from the U.S.The soviet decided to take them out of Cuba and the U.S took down the missiles that were in Turkey. -

President Kennedy declared in an interview. We can help them all we want but our soldiers have to win it. This war was major to the U.S it was a long period of time and wasted tons of money. More than 3 million Vietnamese lost their life. -
