  • I graduated High School!

    I graduated High School!
I attended Valley Local High School my entire life from K-12. I graduated with an amazing class who made my school years nothing less than great! My senior year, my class excelled in sports. I was very fortunate to receive many scholarships that have helped me with my goal of becoming a teacher!
  • Adoption of Koby

    Adoption of Koby
Soon after graduating high school, my boyfriend adopted a Chorkie Puppy for me as a graduation gift. (Chihuahua and Yorkie Mix) I was ecstatic! Dogs really are your family and we loved him so very much!
  • College/Basketball University of Rio Grande

    College/Basketball University of Rio Grande
I found myself enrolled at The University of Rio Grande with a basketball scholarship. I went in undecided but always knew I had a love for kids. My basketball team was the one thing I enjoyed most about Rio. Two big steps were taken- being enrolled in college and committing to play basketball.
  • My First 5K

    My First 5K
I have always been the girl that's involved in sports but I've never claimed to like to run! I didn't think I could do it, but with the support of my family and others, I ran my first 5k and Won my age division! This specific 5k was filled with many obstacles as pictured. This kept me motivated to run in more and see how competitive I could be! I have now ran in three 5k's!
  • I want to be a teacher!

I want to be a teacher!
I had found a love for kids through working at a local daycare at Rio. It was called Little Storm Learning Academy. This was the turning point in my college career and was the moment I knew I wanted to teach the youth of our future! I had such a great experience there and enjoy being with kids as much as possible now.
  • Puerto Rico

    Puerto Rico
What an experience. My basketball team and I travelled together to Puerto Rico over Christmas break in 2017. We played in a basketball tournament but also had the chance to explore and have fun! This trip was great and it has been one of my favorites to this day.
  • Shawnee Transfer/Children's Learning Center

    Shawnee Transfer/Children's Learning Center
After two years at the University of Rio Grande, I had made the decision to leave/move on. I was very excited to be able to come home and attend the college in my hometown- Shawnee State University. I was soon offered a job at the CLC- in the infant room and instantly knew I had made the right choice and things were falling in to place for me!
  • Phonics Class!

    Phonics Class!
I have never taken an education class at Shawnee State University, however, I am very excited to do so now! Within this class, I hope to be able to learn how to help young children read, and make sense of what they are reading. When I was younger, I struggled to read, but luckily with the help of my mom (who is a teacher) I got past what was holding me back, and ended up LOVING to read. I want my students to love reading as much as I do. I want to learn how to educate my students in literacy.
