Pandemic leads to worldwide closure of schools. Learning is shifted towards virtual classes.
-
As a result of the 2020 pandemic, all IB students and educators are now provided with access to computers, tablets, internet/hotspots.No one is left behind. If another pandemic or disaster were to happen, learning can swiftly be moved towards a virtual setting. Also, greater access to technology can further enhance teaching in classrooms worldwide.
-
Since all IB students and educators will have access to technology, an IB platform can be created for networking, discussions, and enrichment courses. Students can engage with other students worldwide in discussion forums about current events or courses. Teachers around the world can provide a course that can teach students from different countries at the same time.
-
Countries that previously didn't have IB schools or programmes will have them at this point. Countries that already have IB schools will have more schools become IB.
