Arabs Attack
In 1947 the United Nations split Palestine into Arab and Jewish states. When Israel got independece in May 1948, 6 Arab states attack Israel. Israel wins and make their territory bigger. -
Six Day War
Israel does a suprise attack after United Nations prepares their army. Syria, Jordan, and Iraq join the fighting. Israelis capture East Jerusalem, the West Bank from Jordan, Gaza and Sinai from Egypt, and Golan Heights from Syria. -
Israelis Settlements
Israelis created settlements in The West Bank and Gaza. This building of settlements is considered illegal. Israelis stil expand their settlement believing that the occupied territory belongs to Jews. The settlements are surrounded by saftey zones. In saftey zones, Palestinians can not farm or aren't allowed to use the roads there. -
Yom Kippur War
Eqypt and Syria suprise attack Israelies in Sinai and the Golan Heights. Israel repels both armies and cease-fire is declared. -
Signs of Peace
Eqyptian president whose name is Anwar Sadat did a surprise visit to Jerusalem. The president of the US whose name is JImmy Carter brokers peace between Egypt and Israel after Anwar's surprise visit. -

Intifada
Palestinians were mad that Israelies owned The West Bank and Gaza, so they threw stones attacking Israeli soldiers. First suicide attack on civilians in Israel was in 1989. This violence, know as Intifada lasted until the year 1990.
