  • Jethro Tull-Seed Drill

    Jethro Tull was born on March 30, 1674, and died Ferbruary 21, 1741. This tool made it easier to sow crops. It could be pulled by a horse or oxen, allowing work to be done faster. It was benificial to farmers because they did not have to work as long or as hard as before.
  • Edmund Carwright-Power Loom

    Edmund Carwright was born on April 24, 1743, and died on October 30, 1823. He made an invention known as the power loom, which proved to be very helpful to weavers during the industrial revolution. This machine was made to weave mechanically, making it less tedious to weave. It made the prossess faster and easier too.
  • Eli Whitney-Cotton Gin

    Eli Whitney was born on Decemder 8, 1765, and died on January 8, 1825. He made an invention known as the cotton gin, which removed the seeds from cotton. This machine made it easier to remove these seeds, and faster as well. Because of this, farmers who used this could plan more cotton, and make more money.
  • Nikola Tesla-AC system

    Nikola Tesla was born on July 10, 1856, and died on January 7, 1943. He created the AC system, which allowed electrical appliances to work better and faster. This system used an alternate current which was better then Thomas Edison's design, which was less efficient, and slower.
  • Richard Arkwright-Spinning Frame

    Richard Arkwright was born on December 23, 1732, and died on August 3, 1792. He invented the Spinning Frame, a device to make thread. It made thread quickly, and efficiently. It also made the threads thin and strong.
