  • watt steam engine

    James watt helped modify the Newcomen steam engine and due to all the modifications done it changed into the watt steam engine. In 1765 watt understood the issue there was too much steam being lost and the pressure was not enough so he added another condenser to get the power of the lost steam and it was much more efficient.
  • automobile

    In 1769 Nicolas-joseph cugnot made the first, steam engine automobile. Combining wagons with a very small steam engine compared to may used in factories. This was a big advancement and kept advancing afterward.
  • the spinning henny

    James Hargreaves invented the spinning jenny. This was invented so it wouldn’t take as long to make and spin yarn. This invention has eight spindles controlled by one wheel spun by a person that would move all of the yarn to a spindle and thread and spin it for them. This was the beginning to yarn spinning as machines would soon start to be more complex and work faster
  • steam locomotive

    George Stephenson created the first steam locomotive on July 25, 1814, because he had worked in the coal mines and knew how hard it was to push coal in and out of the mines and transport it. This locomotive used coal to burn and use the steam to move quite slowly at 4 MPH but carrying 30 tons of coal it can be seen as impressive.

    The telegraph invented in 1844 is the machine that was used before telephones, telegraphs were used as a way of communication sending signals for lines and dots making out words in morse code. Samuel morse was the first to invent and use the telegraph.
