    Time period in which countries expanded industrially and began to urbanize and expand and open more factories to produce goods easily.

    Jethro Tull invented the seed drill. This allowed for easy planting of seeds at an appropriate depth in the ground. This was good because more crops grew/survived which meant more food and more profit.
  • Steam power.

    James Watt and entrepreneur Matthew Boulton create a more effective steam engine. More effiecent, faster and takes less fuel. Leads to the first sucessful steam boat in 1807. Leads to easy transportation of goods up and down water ways.

    Samuel Crompton Combined the water wheel and spinning jenny to invent the spinning mule. Big machine powered by water wheels to string yarn for textiles. Very efficent which lead to the industrialization of the textile industry. Built large buildings ( factories) to house machines and make strands.

    American inventor, Eli Whitney invented the cotton gin. Allow easy seperation of seeds from cotton. This allowed fir higher quality cotton and easy way of producing clothes (T-shirts)

    Samuel F. B. Morse invents telegrpah for rapid means of long distance communication. Allowed people to get information/news faster. Would lead to telephone.

    Invented the first sewing machine after watching his wife sew. Allowed clothes and other clothed goods to be made very easily and very fast. (improved by Issac Singer)

    Alexander Bell invented the telephone by accidently plucking a reed off of a wire in an experiment on a telegraph. Allows for voices to be sent over great distances and multiple tones ( not have to put up new lines all the time for communication) made it even easier to transmit information. Plus, we stil use them today.

    Thomas Eva Edison invented the first Incandescent light bulb in Menlo Park, New Jersey. 1877-1879 he and his assistants experimented with over 3000 kinds of filiment before finally getting the right one. Allowed for easy lighting of homes, streets, factories. etc.

    Orville and Wilbur Wright invent first airplane and do the first flight. Allows for easy transportation. Millitarized into a weapon to later be used in WW1 and lead to the development of an Air force and punlic transportation by planes First human flight December 17, 1903.

    Henry Ford invented the assembly line as an efficient way to produce cars. Between 1908 and 1913 he made the method famous as it was very effective in producing goods
