Into The Wild: Chris McCandless' Journey

    Chris was a smart manwho graduated from Emory University with a 3.72 grade average. One day he said, I think I'm going to disappear for a while (Krakauer 21), and his adventure begun. Chris wanted to reinvent himself as a person and left at the end of June. Once he left he changed his name from Chris McCandless to Alexander Supertramp. He was master of his own destiny (Krakauer 23).

    Chris ventured out into a desert outside of Arizona, Detrital Wash. Chris got caught in a flash flood while exploring and his car's engine got wet, causing it to not turn over when he started it.

    Chris entered a desert in Colorado and embarked on his first adventure away from humanity. He traveled through the irrigation systems and marshlands he encountered. Chris eventually settled somewhere called Oh-My-God Hot springs he met Ronald Franz.

    This was where Chris decided he wanted to attempt his greatest adventure in Alaska. He explained to Westerberg that he wanted to leave April 15 that year. So Chris worked for Westerberg for the time.
