  • Stem engine

    The stem engine was invented by James Watt in Brittan. It worked by using steam to power the engine it was invented in 1712. It changed the world because it was a better way of transport.
  • Cotton gin

    The cotton gin is a machine designed to remove cotton from its seeds. it uses a small screen and pulling hooks to force the cotton through the screen. It was invented by Eli Whitney in 1794.
  • The Telegraph

    The telegraph was invented by Samuel Morse who proved that signals could be transmitted by wire. He used pulses of current to deflect an electromagnet, which moved a marker to produce written codes on a strip of paper it was invented in 1835.
  • Sewing machine

    Elias Howe demonstrated his machine to the public. At 250 stitches a minute, his lockstitch mechanism outstitched the output of five hand sewers with a reputation for speed.
  • Dynamite

    In 1863, Alfred Nobel invented the detonator or blasting cap for detonating nitroglycerin. The detonator used a strong shock rather than heat combustion to ignite the explosives. The Nobel Company built the first factory to manufacture dynamite this was really good for blowing up stuff.
  • Vaccines for diseases

    Louis Pasteur develops vaccines for a range of diseases which saved lots of lives and helped develop many others. He developed a cure for rabies which saved many lives and still saving lives now.
  • Telephone

    The telephone was invented in 1876 by Alexander Graham Bell, this invention revolutinised the world making it possible to communicate over long distances.
  • Airiplane flight

    Orville Wright makes the first powered airplane flight and this was the first step of the airplanes becoming how they are today. This invention was extremely importat at this time.
