    Boers blamed British and took up arms agaisnt them. Boers launched commando raids and used guillera tactics against the British. The British burned down Boer farms and imprisioned women and children in disease ridden concentration camps

    When President Roosevelt wanted to build a canal in Panama, he helped Panama win their independence from Columbia. After they did this, Panama gave the US a ten mile wide zone to build a canal.
