Hitler Joins Nazi Party
Hitler joined the workers party after he was sent to investigate them. he later became a well respected member. In April 1920 Hitler changed the name of the group to National Social German workers group. also know as the Nazi party. in 1921 Hitler challenges the current leader of the party, Anton Drexler, Drexler backs down and allows Hitler to become leader. -
Beer Hall Putsch
Hitler along with important members of the Nazi party use an armed uprising to attempt to over throw the Bavarian government. Hitler march through munich with 2000 Nazi's to beer hall to takeover a meeting being held there by the most important representatives of the Bavarian politics. the next day Hitler was sentenced to 5 year imprisonment for treason which Hitler only serves six months of. -
Hitler Convicted of treason
The day after the beer hall putsch Hitler along with Nazi;s march the streets again only to have police open fire on them. While Hitler attempts to run away and escape he is caught. he is then tried for treason where he is found guilty. Hitler was scented to 5 years in prison but only served 6 month before being release because of popular demand. -
Germany Joins League of Nations
Werner Dankwort pushed for Germany to join the League in 1926, Germany was the fifth permanent member of the Council.1933. Hitler ordered the Germany to leave the league. He withdrew from the League of Nations using the excuse that Germany was already disarmed, while other countries were refusing to disarm. -
Hitler Appointed Chancellor
After Hitlers failed attempt to over take Paul Von Hindenburg for presidency. He is later appointed by Hindenburg the position of chancellor. -
Germany invades Sudetenland
In July 1938, Hitler promised Britain's Prime Minister, Neville Chamberlain, that he would not invade Czechoslovakia if he were given control of the Sudetenland. After Germany lost control of Sudetenland Germany decided to invade. -
Germany Invades Austria
During the world war 2 Hitler decided he wanted to make a bigger great Germany. so he decided he would invade Austria to claim it as German territory. It would also make Hitlers birth place of Austria to become legitimised. -
Germany invades Czechslovakia
German armies marched into Czechoslovakia. They took over Bohemia, and took control over Slovakia. Hitler's invasion of Czechoslovakia was the end of appeasement. It proved that Hitler had been lying at Munich. -
Germany invades Poland
Hitler wanted to take over Poland to give German people more spaces to live. When they did attack Poland Hitler claimed that it was all in self defence but the British and french were not fooled.
