    The Irish Free State used to only have some freedom. In 1948 they became an independent country, the Republic of Ireland.

    Fall of the British Empire

    After two world wars the biggest colony, India, broke free. The Afrcan freedom movements ended the age of colonialism.

    After the war Ireland was divided into two parts: The Irish Free State and Northern Ireland.

    England invades Ireland, but they will not give up without a fight.

    Romans invaded

    Sometime in the first century, the southern parts of Scotland was invaded by the Romans. They built a long wall to defend themselves from "The Painted Ones", who fought for their land.
