The Greeks made lots of things, some even went global such as the Olympics which still exists today, however the original concept of theirs was very different from our because ancientgreece.com states "The ancient Olympics seem to have begun in the early 700 BC, in honour of Zeus. No women were allowed to watch the games and only Greek nationals could participate."4 Today our version of Olympics allows everyone to watch it globally and we allow women to participate in the sports.

Greeks were so good at building that, circa 650 BCE the Greeks made the Ionic Order. The Greek temples had 3 different pillar styles, according to Owlcation.com "The Ionic Order includes columns with bases, scrolled capitals, and a solid frieze (either sculpted or left plain). The Corinthian Order features slender columns topped with elaborate capitals shaped like stylized acanthus leaves, ornately-sculpted friezes, and decorative moldings."5 You can still see design alike it today in the USA.

Pythagoras was a mathematician who as Britannica quotes "influenced the thought of Plato and Aristotle and contributed to the development of mathematics and Western rational philosophy."1 Pythagoras discovered that if you take A2+B2 on a triangle you’ll get C2. This may sound more like a cool math fact rather than something helpful however Pythagoras' theorem actually really useful if you have to measure hills or mountains and is still taught in schools today.

The Greeks advanced the world for generations by creating democracy circa 508 BCE. The Greek version of democracy was unlike ours because according to Ancient.eu “in some Greek city-states, 5th-4th-century BCE Athens being the most famous example, citizens (defined then as free males over 18) could actively participate in government by attending the public assembly to speak, listen, and vote on issues of the day.”3 whereas ours allows most people in Canada to vote.

The Greeks were very religous and usually prayed/sacrificed to their gods when someone would get sick until in the 5th century they started using a bit of science to help the sick as ancient.eu says "by the 5th-4th-century BCE founder of western medicine Hippocrates. A better understanding of the human body was achieved. Observation of badly wounded soldiers showed, for example, the differences between arteries and veins."2 Nowadays our healthcare isn't perfect but it improved from Greece's.
