  • Speech to the Frankfurt Assembly

The main point of this document was to show that Prussia is the right state to lead the newly founded Germany and Austria wasn't because if Austria had the power it would be less power for the people but Prussia wanted to help the people and make it a great nation.
  • Proclamation of 1849

The government of the newly found Germany asked Friedrich Wilhelm IV to be their king but he declined the offer because of two reasons one because the assembly didn't have the right without consent of the german governments and he wouldn't accept because he wouldn't accept a constitution which could be reconciled with the rights of the german states.
  • Letter to Minister von Manteuffel

In this letter by Otto von Bismarck he states that the only way to settle things between Prussia and Austria is war and he says that there is simply no way around he says that it has to happen in order for the decision to be made.
  • Field Marshal Helmuth von Moltke

This document was simply stating the reason for the war and that it wasn't a war forced upon by popular opinion or because the Prussians wanted it but because it had to happen there had to be a way to decide which country would rule the new germany.
  • Otto von Bismarck

Bismarck basically says in this document that he didn't want to hurt Austria to badly that they wanted revenge but just enough so Austria knew where their place was and that Prussia was to rule the new germany.
  • The Imperial Proclamation

This document is just the proclamation of the king of Prussia taking the leadership of the new Germany and he proclaims what he will do for the new country and then proclaims himself kaiser.
