    The Right Honorable Sir John A.MacDonald was the Prime Minister of Canada from 1867-1873. He was the first Prime Minister of Canada and was the Prime Ministers a second time from 1878-1891. MacDonald was born in Scotland, but immigrated with his family to eastern Ontario when he was a boy. Sometimes he would be called "the Father of Canada" and apparently he knew how to make an entrance.

    Alexander Mackenzie was the second Prime Minister of Canada from 1873-1878. Sir Alexander Mackenzie was a Scottish explorer, fur trader, and a business man. He was the first to travel overland to the Pacific Coast and was perhaps the most venturesome of all the explorers of the Northwest of North America. Alexander Mackenzie was born on Lewis Island near Stornoway.

  • Sir John Abbott 1891-1892

    Sir John Joseph Caldwell Abbott was the third Prime Minister of Canada, after Sir John A.MacDonald. He served in the office for seventeen months, from June 16, 1891, to November 24, 1892. John Abbott was born on March 12, 1821, born in Lower Canada, and died at the age of 72 on October 30 1893.

    Sir John Thompson was born on November 10, 1845 and died December 12, 1894. His nationality was Canadian and was apart of the Conservative Party of Canada. He died because of a sudden heart-attack at the age of 49. John Thompson was a Federal Minister of Justice and was only the prime minister of Canada for two years.
