    Temujin and his brother Khasar murder their half-brother Begter, and Temujin is made a slave for five years as punishment.

    At the age of 27, Temujin is elected the khan of the Mongols, a sub-clan of the Kereyids.

    Under Temujin, the Mongols defeat many clans, such as the Tatars and the Jurchens, and, instead of being killed or enslaved, the conquered people are united as Mongolians.

    After defeating the Naiman clan, Temujin finishes uniting all of Mongolia.

    Temujin becomes Genghis Khan

    Temujin is made the Genghis Khan, the leader of all of Mongolia.

    Khan conquers all of the Jurchens

    Under Genghis Khan, the Mongol army conquers all of the Jurchens of the Jurched Dynasty, a dynasty ruling in northern China. The Jurchens numbered at 50 million people, while Khan’s army consisted of 1,000 troops.

    The Mongolian Empire spreads even further

    Many distant tribes began to submit to Khan’s rule, and by 1219, the Mongolian Empire stretches from northern China to the border of Afghanistan, and from Siberia to Tibet’s border.

    After going on more conquests, Khan and his army conquer even more land from places such as Turkey and Russia.
