    The first personal computer was invented. It was called the Altair and ran off an Intel 8080 microprocessor. I was too young and in-experience to own an Altair at the time but from what I have read it was an awesome invention.

    The use of the mouse with personal computer become popular. The inclusion of the mouse increase the functionality of the personal computer making the navigation of documents and transition in and out of application was paramount. The mouse was a very useful tool to the personal computer generation.

    The electrophotographic dry printing process known as a Xerox was invented. This unit was the blueprint for the development of the laser printer. I did not own a laser printer until 1992.

    I got my first opportunity of use a personal computer, my first yar in college. It was a vax system (screen and fonts were black and yellow), creepy looking. It took me about two hours to type a one-page paper. Once again, I was a first-time user without a mouse.

    I was able to purchase my first personal computer, it was a used one, but it was all mine.
    I was able to learn how to type faster and with accuracy, reducing the time I spent writing/typing my college pagers. Since then, I have owned several brand-new computer, I-pads, and smartphone.
