  • Robert Fulton

    Robert Fulton was born on November 14, 1765 in Pennslyvania and died on February 24, 1815. He invented the Stemboat. This was used to transport goods up river. The steamboat was invented in 1807. This helped the cotton industry grow as weel as creating more jobs, factorys, and helping more cotton to be produced. Robert was led to inventing the steam boat while in london painting and suddenly becomming interesting in the making of steam engines.
  • Eli Whitney

    Eli Whitney was born on December 8, 1765 in Massachusetts, and died on January 8, 1825.Eli invented the Cotton Gin. This cleaned cotton and sepperated the cotton seeds from it. The Gin was invented on March 14, 1794. This impacted America by producing more cotton. He invented this to allow the growth in cotton production.
  • Samuel Slater

    Samuel Slater was born on June 9, 1768 and was born in England, He died April 21, 1835. He started off in a mill at the age of 14. He soon became fond of the whole textile production and around the 1780's he moved to the united states. in 1793 he announced the factory system. This helped america by providing more product for a lower price aswell as the high demand for cotton. This also had a neggative effect with the increase in slaves annd unsafe working conditions.

    Samuel Morse was born on April 27, 1791 in Massachusetts, and died on April 2, 1872.Samuel is known for inveting Morse code and the telegraph. This allowed people to communicate faster. It was invented in 1837. It impacted America by having the ability to communicate faster which allowed news to spred and create jobs. Samuel invented this because one day he was on a trip to do art and a week later found out if wife had died and went back home to his wife already been burried.

    John Deere was born on the 7th of Febuary 1804. He died on May 17 1886. He was born in Vermont. John worked as a blacksmith which led him to enjoy to making different little things. Soon later after moving he invented the first steel plow. This allowed easier farming in rough or rocky soil. This helped America by expanding farming, factorys, and expanded cotton productions. But this also had a negative effect with expanding slave demand.
    Today we now call it a tractor.
