Newly married stage
Just married highschool sweetheart and planning our own family. We got an apartment together. My husband finished college and will soon start as a nurse. I stay at home and take care of household chores and meals. We are learning how to provide for ourselves. -
Early parenthood stage.
Our first baby girl, Rylie was born. It has been challenging adjusting to being a mom & dad. Rylie is a very outgoing and loud baby. She makes life so much fun.. and busy! -
Baby Micheal
Rylie is 2 years old & we welcomed our second baby home! Things are easier the second time around with baby Michael. Having a toddler and new born has been stressful. My husband is not around much due to his job. -
Atoption
We adopted baby Kai from Africa. Riley started kindergarten and loves it! Baby Michael is a great big brother to Kai. Adopting was much different than having our first two kids. Life has needed lots of adjustments but we love the new addition. -
Later Parenthood Stage
Riley started high school & is experiencing puberty. She is seeing changes in physical growth & sexual development. She is becoming an adult and less of a child. Riley is taking on more responsibilities in and outside of the home. Michael is a pre-teen and is also experiencing similar things to Riley. Baby Kai is now 10 and is a mommyβs boy! At this age, my husband and I have been coming across problems that Kia is facing with being adopted. -
Crises
I was Diagnosed with breast cancer and start chemo. Kids have been coming around more and spending time at the house. My husband has been preparing with dealing with the emotions of me being sick and starting to adjust without me around. -
Grandparents
Riley married and gave us our first grandchild! Michael left for college and Kai is almost done with high school. My husband got a promotion at the hospital and has taken on more working hours. -
Empty nest stage
All kids are out of the house. Our parent rolls have changed a ton. The kids support their own needs as they start their families. Kai comes home on school breaks but loves college. Riley has three kids and Michael is recently married and started a new job. We welcome our kids spouses into our family. -
family life cycle ends
I passed away due to my breast cancer. My husband now needs to adjust to the single life again. My husband moved in with Micheal as his health needes increased -
Retirement stage
My husband retired by choice after lots of planning to ensure a financially stable future. We have planned a trip to Europe for vacation & when we return we plan on taking some time just for ourselves.
