    Day at Sea #1

Our first several days at sea have been the hardest. from gathering supplies for our long voyage to spending nights on the waking water. we departed from Valencia, Spain and are currently sailing through the Mediterranean Sea and have been sailing for about half a week. Im not sure.

earlier today, we ported at Seville, Spain. We were hoping to find some more food fo rour voyage since most of it was ruined by the nasty salt water that was coming onto the boat when we were crashing into big waves. But instead of finding food, we got handmade jewlery and pottery that we can take back to our city. We hope they don't break!

    Day at sea #2
Today we came across a big, big pod of whales. there was a little (yet big) baby whale foloowing two fully grown whales. i made the assumption that they were the little guy's parents. Maybe we can see a pod of dalphins!

Yesterday, we ported at Melilla, Fez. Majorly Hoping to find more edible goods, and we did! we traded a couple pieces of our pottery for some veggies and other proteins. we also got ahold of some fresh cod, a couple squid and other weird smelling fish. One of our guys broke his hand trying to carry a crate of the fish. He picked it up off the ground and i guess one of the fish was still alive and flopped up in his face and made him lose his grip and let the side of the crate go.

    Day at sea #3

So a couple days ago, One of our guys broke part of his hand trying to carry a crate of fish onto the boat. Today, when he woke up, he was in major pain. his hand was as green as the greenest apple on this ship and his face was as red as the blood inside him. He said it was hard to breathe, probably because of the infection taking over his body. I don't know how much longer he will last, he was a good guy.

6 days ago, we had a man that broke his hand and had a mojor infection, today as we port, we are letting him go. he is very ill and needs medical assistance but we dont know how to help. as we are sorry for his loss, we tried to look for other goods to bring back. it was growing colder as the days go by so we tried to find heavier clothing than what we already have. We ported at Surat, and found a couple panchos. it was about 50 degress today, and the panchos helped.
