    The RMS Lusitania was sailing toward Liverpool, England on her 101st voyage when she was hit by a torpedo shot from a German U-boat. She sank in less than 20 minutes taking more than 1,100 passengers.
  • Battle of the Somme

    This battle lasted over 5 months, from July 1 to November 1916. 60,000 British men died on the first day.
  • Armistice

    Armistice means an agreement to stop fighting. This agreement was signed on November 11, 1918 officially ending WWI.
