  • Nazi Party is formed

    The Naazi party, originally called the German WorkersParty was created by Anton Drexler, Gottfried Feder, and Dietrich Eckart. The German Army began to think that the Nazi party was a revolutionary threat. Because of this they sent Adolf Hitler to spy on them. Hitler actually agreed with some of the beliefs in the party. Not all of them though.Soon Hitler was invited to join the party.

  • Beer Hall Putsch

    On this date there was a meeting with 3,000 Bavarian officials. Hitler and his party were going to try to convince them to join the Nazi party. They ended up convincing them to join, and a little while later marched the 3,000 bavarian officals and the Nazi members into a police line that began to shoot them. 4 police men and 16 Nazi's were killed and Hitler was arrested.

  • Mein Kampf

    While in jail, Hitler wrote an autobiography. The title translates to "my struggle." The book talks about Hitler's political views and his views on race. In this book two volumes were published. In the first volume, hitler speaks about his childhood and youth and also how he came to feel about his views.

  • Hitler appointed Chancellor

    By appointing Hitler as chancellor, it gave him more power that set the stage to his strict rules. Hitler wanted to turn Germany into a one party. He created more state police, calledc the Gestapo, and made new offices that all occupied Nazi's. Because of this Nazi Germany was being to take off, and with Hitler in power there was nothing anyone could do stop it.

  • Gestapo take order

    The Gestapo, or the Nazi secret police were made to keep order throughout Nazi Germany. They were supposed to sought out opposition in Nazi Germany at the time. So if someone didn't agree with the Nazi's they were arrested. Many rights were being taken away and Germany was becoming more and more oppressed, and with the Gestapo there, they were making sure it stayed oppressed.

  • Nazi book bruning

    Hitler orderes any books that were deemed "un-german" to be confiscated and destroyed. Books authored by Jewish, communist, pacifist, socialist, anarchist and classic liberals were all to be burned. These burnings were done publically. The ultimate goal was to be cleaning by fire but it was just another way of oppressing the public.

  • German-Polish-Non-Agresson Act

    This act was put into place to end the aggression between Poland, and Germany. Since these two share borders. this treaty was supposed to end the wars that were not benefitting the either countries. Because of this treaty the countries shared notable relations untill five years later, Hitle would invade Poland. This broke the treaty.

  • Germany breaks the Treaty of Versailles

    The treaty or Versailles punished Germany for the acts of WW1. In this treaty it prohibited Germany of having an army over 100,000 men. In the this major event, Hitler broke the treaty by applying military forces in the area of the Rhinelands. This broke the traty because Germans military forces were becoming larger. This affected WW2 because it was evident that Germany was arming up for a war.

  • Germany invades Czechoslavakia

    Nazi Germany army captured Prague and invade Czechoslovackia. From this Germany broke another treaty. The treaty that they broke was called the Munich agreement. This agreement annexed Germany from Austria and Czechoslavakia.

  • WW2 begins

    In this event, WW@ actually began. Germany invading poland, and because of this France and Britain decalred war on Germany. This wasn't when the U.S went to war though. It wouldn't be until 2 years later. The U.S did organize a nuetrality patrol, which made sure there wasn't any threats. This event affected WW2 because it was actually the start of
    the war.

  • Deportation of Jews

    One of Hitler's commanders, Adolf Eichmann starting shipping Jews out of Poland and Czechoslavakia. By doing this the Jews, were being deported into work camps, later to be known as Concentration camps. This statred the Holocaust, which executred 6 million Jews.

  • Bombing at Peal Harbor

    Bombing at Peal Harbor
    Japanese bombers surprised the Pacific American fleet at Oahu, Hawaii right before 8 am. The target were the 8 battleships that were at the base. Most of the battleships were destroyed by bombs being dropped onto the ships or underwater torpedos. This relates to WW2 because it was the leading event that triggered the U.S to fight in WW2, as they were reluctant to join the fight before this event.
