    The Fall of Rome caused the Dark Ages (Middle Ages). It made peole afraid to travel and gave the Catholic Church the ability to take over and be in charge of Europe. This is important because if this would not have happend then none of the events leading up to the Renaissance would have happened and all of the new advancements that we have today would not be here.

    Feudalism Starts
    Feudalism went through the timespan of about 700A.D. to 1200A.D. When Europe was attacked by vikings., it caused them to build protective walls to protect the cities. This is when there were several different levels of power that you really couldn't help where you landed. Kings had power and serfs were born serfs. This is important because Feudalism helped describe what life would be like in the Middle Ages for a while.

    The Crusades had a timespan between 1100 and 1300. This was the time where the Muslims took over the holy land in a relgious war. After this, people felt safe to trasvel again and trade increased. This is important because if this wouldn't have happened, we might not have some of the things we do today because trade would not have existed.

    When Feudalism started to weaken, nations arise and start to have competitions. This is important because if Feudalism wouldn't have gone away, then we might still have kings, nobles, and serfs today and that wouldn't be fair.

    The Renaissance had a timespan of 1350-1550 A.D. This is very important because this is where the Greek and Roman Empires started to reform. The rebirth of these two empires is very important because they were more advanced that any other civilization and we would definately not have the advancements that we have today if this would not have happened.

    The Printing Press was invented by Gutenburg. This was important because with making booksmore accessable, education was allowed to spread over Europe. If this would not have happened, then, we would not be nearly as smart as we are, we would not be able to read, and school would probably not exist.

    The Protestant Reformation
    The Protestant Reformation was started by Martin Luther, a German monk. This was a movement to reform the Catholic Church. This is important because if The Catholic Church would not have been reformed, then power might have gone wrong and chaos would probably happen.
