    The Signing of the Declaration of Independence
    The Declaration of Independance was signed. This happend on July 4th, 1776. This is important because it made our country free from England.
  • Ratification of the United States Constitution

    Ratification of the United States Constitution
    Article VII stated that nine states had to ratify the Constitution for it to go into effect. The Constitution was made very strict for the Philadelphia convention. This is important because it started the Constitution of the U.S.
  • The Louisana Purchase

    The Louisana Purchase
    Thomas Jefferson made the Louisiana Purchase from France in 1803. Jefferson made thins decision to open up and gain control of the Mississippi River. With this purchase the United States more than doubled in size. Jefferson gave tojob of exploring the new land to Meriwether Lewis and William Clark. This was important because the size of the US doubled.

    Thomas Jefferson sent out two explorers, Meriwether Lewis and William Clark to explore the new land of The Louisiana Purchase.

    The War with Mexico
    Mexican had come across the border onto American soil and killed some Americans. Two days aftetr that The Mexican War had begun. The Northerners did not want to expand slavery with more land but the Southerners did, so in May 1846 troops were led into Mexico. In just a few weeks the United States took over California. Two days into the battle Mexico gave up.
    This was important because we gained land and the state of Texas.

Andrew Jackson tried to assaaainate him 30 years before his death in 1865. This is important because he was a big part and president in our country and he had so much stress from the war.

    Obama is the 44th president of the united states. His innaguration was important because he was the 1st African American president in the U.S. The innaguration of Obama was held in Washington D.C. It started the 18th - 20th of January.
  • When I went to Florida

    When I went to Florida
    I went to Orange Lake resort in 2012. This was my first time down to florida. We flew down on JetBlue. It was not bad on the airplane going down but we hit turbulance on the way back up. It was a very nice resort, it had a huge lazy river and swimming pool. We are the owners of a big timeshare there so we are planning to go again in 2014.
