    The Signing of Declaration of Independence
    The made this document so everyone knew their rights. They had many congressmen from the colonies to sign. Everyone but one from New York signed. Others did not agree to the document but signed anyway.
  • Ratification of United States Constitution

    Ratification of United States Constitution
    Before the Constitution could take effect the poeple had to ratify it each state had deligates to ratify for them. Many of the Americns were hesitant which cause it to shift away from the Articles of Confederation. They had opposing sides the "federalist," and that "anti- federalist". The anti-federalist thought having the Constitution would give the National Government to much power.

    Louisiana Perchase
    The Lousiana Perchase was when the French were cutting off the Mississippi river and Jefferson needed the river to transport goods. So Jefferson decided to buy the Louisna Territory. They gained the Mississippi river. It's important because it made America bigger and better by giving the country more products, food, and land. (McDougal Littell, American History, pg 344)

    The Lewis and Clark Journey
    President Jefferson sent out Lewis and Clark to explore the west. While traveling they hired a french interpreter so they could talk with the indians. The French trapper brought his 16 year old who was pregnant named, Ssacagawea.They were trying to find the ocean that the Mississippi river feeds. (McDougal Littell, American History, pg 348)
  • Donner Party

    Donner Party
    The Donner Party were trying to find a way to California to find gold. They heard about a short-cut that was supposed to cut off a little bit of the trip. But it set them back 3 weeks on their trip. In October they reached Sierra Nevada Mountains. During the night at least 5 ft. of snow was layed causing the Donner Party to be stuck. As time took it's toll they began to die off and the others would begin to eat the dead. It's important because the Donner party turned canival. (History.com)

    Mexico tried taking over the United States but the Americans fought back, they invaded Mexico. Taylor got a at least 4,800 soldiers and were up against Santa Anna's 15,000 soldiers. They fought for 2 days, Santa Anna retreated. It's important because we gained Mexio's land and that made the United States bigger

    Many people moved to California for the search of gold. The forty-niners occured with large amounts of people, where they found the gold in the river. Each forty-niner was out of luck at the years went along because all the gold has been seen and taken. It's important because it helped Americands become rich and they could buy more stuff and make the country bigger. (McDougal Littell, American History, pg 439-440)

    Slave fugitives were not allow to a jury trial because the Southerners considered slaves as their property. The northern people they dried to capture slave fugitives because they wanted to help them get their freedom. The fugitive act made many people take the abolitionist side.

    Uncle Tom's Cavin was a book made by Harriet Beecher Stowe. She made Uncle Tom's Cabin because she didn't agree with the compramise of 1850, it outraged her! Uncle Tom's cabin made Stowe famous.

    Abraham Lincon was killed at Penn Quarter Washington, D.C. While at Ford's Theatre while watching " Our American Cousin." John Wikes Booth shot Lincoln in the back of the head. Booth wanted to ruin the U.S. because he did not beileve in what the U.S. stood for.

    Planes and tiny submirnes attacked the Pearl Harbor around eight in the morning because they knew poeple would be at church. The Japanees sent 170 aircrafts mainly torpedo bombers. Japan attacked us because they thought they could take over Hawaii.

    Enola Gay dropped a 5 ton bomb on Japan's city Hiroshima in 1945.This bomb killed over 800,000 people and many died after because or extreme injuries and poisining. It's important because we are still debating wether it should have been done or not.

Young readers realate because of how "Spider-Man is a student with real life student problems such as loneliness and rejection. As Spider-Man says himself "with great power there must also come great responsibility."

They wanted to be able to have same jobs or same pay as the whites, the wanted thier freedom. Thats what March On Washington was and it's important because it took this country one step in the right direction to everyones' freedom.

    JFK was shot while in Dallas, Texas on the back of a convertible. Then suddenly they heard 3 sniper shots from a building nearby. The first shot was a miss then the second he was shot on the neck then the last one was shot at the back of his head. They think that Lee Harvey Oswald was the one who shot him. We may never know because before Oswald could defend himself he was shot by Jack Ruby.

    I went to vermont with my mom and good friend. We spent a week at 'Smugglers Notch'. We went swimming and they had many kid/teen places to go. We also went shopping alot at thier country store. Its important to me because I probably will never have the chance to go back to Vermont.

I think when we draw picture or dance we are really telling a story but we don't realize that we are. I want to be able to help others when they are having problems. I feel like when you sit in a room with a complete stranger you hold back your feelings or you don't tell the thripist what happend. When you draw or dance you don't hold back.
