He formed the First Continental Congress. They spoke about how Boston was being treated. When he didn't listen they formed a Second Continental Congress. THen British soldiers and American militamen exchanged gunfire. The Second Continental Congress voted to have the commander of the army be George Washington.This leads to freedom.

This is a very important document to the United States because it means the freedom that we earned.
