    The Declaration of Independance was signed on augest 2nd 1776. The declaration declared that Great Britan and Virginia were independant countries. Its important because it meant freedom to the people and peace amongst the countries.

    The United States Constitution was ratified. It was ratified on June, 21st, 1788. Its important because it meant that other states thought it was a good idea and chose to follow it too.

    The Louisiana Purchase was made by Thomas Jefferson. He made a purchase of 15 million dollars for the land of the Mississippi River. This helped the people that grew crops ancd other things to sell them and transport them across the Mississippi. It also gave them land.(Mc,Dougal/Littell 345-349)

    Nat turners slave Rebellion
    Nat Turner was born into slavery. He lead a group of followers into killing about 55 white men, women and children. But turner was caught and hanged. Turner's Rebellion spread fear everywhere. Whites then killed more than 200 slaves in revenge. Some states even limited freedom for slavery. It was a bad time for African Americans.
