    Montesquieu, a popular philosipher during the Enlightenment, wrote a book stateing his beleifs in seperation of power.
  • America declares their Independence from Great Brittan

    America declares their Independence from Great Brittan
    In 1776, America declares their independence from Great Brittan thus starting the American Revolutionary War which the colonies would eventually win.

    The French revolution sparked by the mutual hatred for the King and his ideas between most of the people in the third estate, or the lower class. Many extremists would try to take over with their ideas on how France should operate but they would be killed by the common form of the guilloutine.

    In 1799, Napolean decides that he is far supirior than the Directory, or the current government of France, and so Napolean illegaly gets rid of the Directory.

    In 1804, Napoleon wants more power in the French Empire than just being a king so he decides to make himself emporor. the famous story was that napoleon didn't have the crown placed on his head, he took the crown and put it on his own head.

    In 1804, Haiti won their indepence from France with one of the only successful slave rebelions led by a Haitian man by the name of Toussaint L'Ouverture.

    In 1810, Padre Hidalgo rang the bell to his church calling the people of what is today Mexico and marched with almost 80,000 people into Mexico city.

    In 1815, after Napoleon has returned to lead France in an attack on England, Napoleon is defeated at Waterloo. In the battle he decides that after a long rainy night he would wait for the mud to dry for his horses so they don't slip. Then the Duke of Wellington brings the fight to himand destroys Napoleon.
