    Columbus Discovers the New World August 3-12,1492

    Columbus set sail to travel west from Spain and reach the East Indies, he knew the world is round so he set sailing hoping to run into the Indies at some point in time. He believed he can reach China without his crew starving to death, later we find out he did indeed discover the new world. This created many different opportunities for people and slave owners.
