Teacher computers linked
All teacher computers will be linked together so cross-curricular teaching and learning can occur in any classroom. -
Mobile devices accepted in classrooms
Teachers accept students using their moblie devices to use as tools and resources in the classroom. -
Textbooks becoming obselete
With the increase in WIFI availability and acceptance of student mobile devices, electronic textbooks and other resources become avaliable to all students. -
Teacher and student interaction becomes digital.
Teachers take on the role of facilitator in the classroom. Students start taking ownership in their learning. Students recieve and respond to all assignments via digital means. Assessment is done through peer discussion/replies. Teachers monitor all interactions on their computer and provide imediate feedback. -
Technology labs developed
With STEM funds, labs are set up to provide technology training for students so upon high school graduation, students are certified to work in the technology field. Partnering with the Air Force and NASA contrators on base, students start working as interns in thier field of interest. -
Desert is recognized as exemplary as a digital school.
With the advances in technology and implementation of the technology at the school, students have excelled in school and are considered the top graduates ready to be productive in the digital workforce.
