God wanted humans to live on the earth and to be in relationship with them. He mad man and then woman. Genesis 1:26 "Then God said, 'Let us make man in our image, according to our likeness.''

God baptizes all of the earth and fallen humanity. He chooses Noah to be a part of this plan and directs him in great detail how to do it.
Genesis 8:21 "I will never again curse the ground because of human beings, even though the inclination of the human heart is evil from youth onward. And I will never agains trike down every living thing as I have done." -
God decided to get rid of all the humans on the earth at that time, but picked one special man to spare and use for redemption. Genesis 6:8 "Noah, however, found favor with the Lord."

Surprise- more humans doing dumb things! Mankind grows increasingly greedy and proud and attempt to build a tower high enough to be equal to the Gods. This hurts God's heart and He disciplines them accordingly.
Genesis11:9 "Therefore it is called Babylon, for there the LORD confused the language of the whole earth, and from there the LORD scattered them throughout the whole earth. -
Abraham later becomes Abram, esposo de Sara, father of Isaac and Ishmael. Genesis 17:1 "When Abram was 99, the LORD appeared to him saying, 'I am God almighty. Live in my presence and be blameless. I will set up my covenant between me and you, and I will multiply you greatly."

God begins to reveal His plan for redemption and commitment to being in relation with us. Genesis 12:2 "I will make you into a great nation, I will bless you, I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing."

In their old age, God showed his faithfulness to Abraham and Sarah by providing Isaac. Genesis 21:2 "Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age the the appointed time God had told him."

God tests Abraham's faith by pidiendo his son Isaac. Genesis 22:12 "Then he said, 'do not lay a hand on the boy or do anything to him. For now I know that you fear God, since you have not withheld your only son for me."

Abraham's grandson, Isaac's son, Esau's brother = Jacob/Israel. Genesis 25:26 "After this, his brother came out grasping Esau's heel with his hand. So he was named Jacob."

God sent Jacob AKA Israel to Egypt. Genesis 46:3 "God said, I am God, the God of your father, do not be afraid to go down to Egypt, for I will make you into a great nation there."

Moses, a Hebrew, was put into a basket and found by Pharoah's daughter. Exodus 2:6 "She opened it and saw the baby. He was crying, and she felt sorry for him. This is one of the Hebrew babies" she said.

Moses was in Egypt from 1526-1486. Exodus 14:13 "Moses answered the people, 'Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you, you need only to be still."

Moses kills an Egyptian for for abusing a Hebrew. Exodus 2:15 "When Pharaoh heard of this, he tried to kill Moses, but Moses fled from Pharaoh and went to live in Midian." Moses ends up meeting his wife here.

God brings the Israelites out of Egypt. "Then Moses said to the people, 'remember this say when you came out of Egypt, out of the place slavery, for the Lord brought you out of here by the strength of His hand." Exodus 13:3

Moses is called to lead the Israelites out of Egypt and to the promised through through Exodus. In the beg. of their journey, the Lord parts the sea for them. Exodus 14:21 "Then MOses stretched out his hand over the sea. The Lord drove the sea back with a powerful east wind all that night and turned the sea into dry land."

Exodus 25:8-9 "They are to make a sanctuary for me so that I may dwell among them. You must make it according to all that I show you- the pattern of the tabernacle as well as the pattern of all it's furnishings."

God gives the 10 commandments to Moses here. Exodus 20.

This covenant is the renewal of the previous covenant God had already made, but emphasizing it for the Israelites. Duet. 5:3 "He did not make this covenant with out fathers, but with all of us who are alive here today."

Joshua 4:23 "For the Lord your God dried up the water of the Jordan before you until you hd crossed over, just as the Lord your God did to the Red Sea, which he dried up before us until we had crossed over. The book of Joshua is where the Israelites conquest Canaan and enter the promised land.

God chose Joshua as the new leader the Israelites after Moses. Deut. 34:9 "Joshua son of Nun was filled with the spirit of wisdom because Moses had laid his hands on him."

After Joshua died, there was a long while that the Israelites were stuck in a cycle of serving different judged. Sin -> Oppression -> Repentance -> Judge -> Again

Gideon was military leader, judge, and prophet. Judges 6:12 "The then angel of the Lord appeared to Gideon and said, 'The LORD is with you valiant warrior."

Ruth marries Boaz... Ruth 4:10 "I have also acquired Ruth as my wife."

Samson was an Israelite warrior and judge. Judges 15:7 "Then Samson told them, 'because you did this, I swear that I won't rest until I have taken vengeance on you."
