    The voyage begins

    The voyage begins
Five ships and about 280 other crew members begin the voyage that will last months. Our goal is to sail around the world, exploring new things. Our captain is Megellan, honestly I am not a fan of him, as many others.

    Liberia

    Liberia
Today we visited Liberia. There are rainforests everywhere. The people there own other people there, they are called slaves. They make them do their own work, it is terrible. I am very glad we don't have slaves in Spain.

    Exploration of Africa

In Africa we explored many different countries, water ways, and rocks. Magellan had us walk by foot, everywhere we went. We had to do this because it is our only way of transportation besides our boat. We met many locals, at first many of them did not llike us foreigners, but then we grew on them, I guess. We are on our way to our next location on our trip.

    Strait of Megellan

This is the sea route we used while sailing around the world. It separated mainland South America to the north and Tierra del Fuego to the south. This strait is the most important natural passage between the Atlantic and Pacific oceans. It is very hard to navigate because of the unpredictable and currents, the passageways are very narrow too. Magellan, my captain, called the Strait of Magellan the "peaceful sea"

The warriors of Lapu-Lapu overpowered our small Spanish force led by Ferdinand Magellan, and he was killed.
